Hoss Brown

Kevin L. “Hoss” Brown, age 45 of The Plains, died Wednesday May 30, 2012 at his home after a 3 month battle with cancer. Born Nov. 28, 1966 in Athens he was the son of the late Beverly McCune Pinkerton.

A 1985 graduate of Athens High School, he was self-employed. He enjoyed cars and lawn mowers. He had been a former resident of South Carolina.

Hoss is survived by his wife, Fran Yates Brown; a daughter, Courtney Brown and a son, Tyler Yates both of The Plains; two sisters- Kathy (Darrow) Tolliver of Nelsonville and Brenda (Kurt) Wickmann of Carbon Hill; a brother, Terry (Missy) Brown of The Plains; his father in law, Jerry Yates of The Plains and his mother in law, Nancy (Roger) Cox of Zanesville; three sisters in law- Regina Thomas of Chauncey, Karen (Chuck) Buckley of The Plains and Sandie Fraley of Cambridge; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, John Shrieves of The Plains; and his pet companion, Luke.
