Obituary

Anna Virginia (Jennie) Hall died peacefully on January 24, 2021 of Covid-19 pneumonia.  She was 94.  Jennie was born March 14,1926 to Leon and Geneva Prewitt in Lexington, Kentucky.    She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.  She is survived by a sister-in-law, Sue Prewitt, two sons, Dale and his wife Julie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Darrel and his wife Kathy of Wailuku, Hawaii, and a daughter, Aileen Hall and her husband Richard Gams of The Plains, Ohio, as well as nieces and nephews, many grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jennie graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington in 1944.  Her family lived in upstate New York and then in Indiana.  After her children finished college, Jennie entered college herself and earned an associate degree in mental health technology.  Her work helping clients improve their mental health was so meaningful to her that it defined her for the rest of her life.

Jennie enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, and drawing, but her passion was flowers.  Her daughter considers the lessons in flower arranging that Jennie gave her years ago a most precious gift.   Above all, Jennie was a friend.  She made a friend of virtually every soul she met and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
