Beatrice B. Shrum, age 103, of Morehead City, NC, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., died October 1, 2018 in Cherry Point Bay, NC. She was born Nov. 24, 1914 in Pike Co., Ohio, the daughter of the late William F. & Carrie Channel Brigner.  She was a member of the Stewartsville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Shrum, "Nana", as she was known to her grandchildren, is survived by two daughters, Carolyn J. York of Anderson, Indiana and Sandra Corman and husband, Stephen of Morehead City, NC; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Raymond T. Shrum in 1993; and a son in law, Lyle York.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Pastor Lowell King officiating.  Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
