Carol Burchfield, age 95 of Athens, passed away Aug. 28, 2018 in Pataskala at the home of her son, Larry Evener, where she had resided the past six years.

Carol was born Dec. 2, 1922 near Pratts Fork.  She was the daughter of the late Harley & Cleo Pierce.

Carol is survived by her son, Larry (Beth) Evener; her grandchildren, Laynette, Lorie (Larry), and Joe (Elizabeth); several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Pierce; a brother, Robert (Ann) Pierce; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Evener, who was killed in action in 1945 during World War II; her second husband, Hubert Burchfield, who died 2002; a brother John Pierce, who died 2008; and a nephew Kevin.
