David Walter Farley, age 86, of Albany died Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2018 at his home. Born Oct. 2, 1931 in Perry County, he was the son of the late Ralph & Mary Lanning Farley.
He attended Murray City High School and was a repairman at TV Supply for 40+ years. During his retirement years he worked at the Athens Community Center and Senior Center. He was a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church of Albany. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Naomi R. Pollard Farley; two daughters, Tracy (Steve) Baker of Albany and Becky (Tim) Yancy of Malta; three sons, David (Paula) Farley, Jr. of Ashville, Roger (Patti) Farley of McConnelsville and Robert (Betty Jane) Farley of Ashville; also considered as a grandson, Kenny Brozak of Stewart; fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one brother, Roy (Ivy) Farley of Coshocton.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by an infant son, Ralph Farley; and a sister, Ollie Sorrell; and a brother, Alan Farley. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with burial will be in Stewart Cemetery, Rome Township. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
