David Eugene Mills, Sr., age 79 of Glouster, died early Wednesday morning June 27, 2018 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.  Born February 1, 1939 in Lake County Ohio, he was the son of the late William Henry and Myrtle Irene Lugenbell Mills.

He was a machine operator for Bethandale Auto Parts Manufacturing in Mentor, Ohio for many years before his retirement.

He lived with his son John in Glouster and attended Redtown Free Methodist Church.

He served our country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his children David (Barbie) Mills of Mentor, Ohio, Kim (Doug) Malensek of Chardon, Ohio, Brenda (Larry) Hopkins, Texas, Romona (Dennis) Lilley, of West Farmington, Ohio, Michelle (David) Goins, of Athens, Ohio, Sherri Mills of Mentor, Ohio, Michael David (Melissa) Mills, Indiana, John Henry (Teresa) Mills, of Glouster, Ohio, David Gilbert (Jennifer) Mills, of The Plains, Ohio.  He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Mitchell Mills, a granddaughter Tiana Rose Mills, two sisters and eight brothers.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio at 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. His son John will officiate the service.  Graveside services will follow at Beech Grove cemetery in Perry County, Ohio with Military Rites being conducted by the Combined Color Guard at the cemetery.
