Doris Ann Thompson Goldsberry, 79, of Summerton, SC formerly of The Plains and wife of Ralph Edward Goldsberry, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018.

Born September 24, 1939, in The Plains, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Earl Thomas Thompson and the late Neva Hawk Thompson. She was a member of the Manning United Methodist Church Quilting Club and a member of The Plains United Methodist Church in Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of Summerton, SC; three sons, Michael Goldsberry (Kristi) of Hickory, NC, Earl Thomas Goldsberry (Cheryl) of Cheraw, SC and Jack Goldsberry (Julie) of Spencer, Ohio; two sisters, Barbara Farley of Logan, Ohio and Donna Skinner (Ray) of St. Louisville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Mia, Thomas, Jackie, Matthew, Grace, Kayleigh and Karina; and four great grandchildren, Kristopher, Lexie, Jamie and Chelsee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Allen Goldsberry; a great grandson, Carver Goldsberry; and two brothers, Jack Thompson and William Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with the Rev. Dr. Karen Crawford officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
