Dorothy Jeanne Russell Well, age 88, of Guysville, died Friday July 6, 2018 at The Laurels of Athens. Born Nov. 5, 1929 in Stewart, she was the daughter of the late Fred & Verona Starkey Russell.

A graduate of Rome Canaan High School, she was employed in bookkeeping.  She was a member of the Stewart United Methodist Church, Minear Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Senior Citizens at the Athens Community Center where she enjoyed bus trips and loved to travel.  She enjoyed Western style Square Dancing.

Dorothy is survived by a son & daughter in law, David & Deb Well of Oak Harbor; a son in law, Charles Byron of Stewart; four grandchildren, Christopher (Johnna) Byron, Casey (Melissa) Byron, Nicole Portillo and Chad Well; two step grandchildren, Nichole (Elbie) Taylor and Denton (Lindsey) Goodin; six great grandchildren including Aaron & Zachary Smith both serving on active duty in the U.S. Army; a sisters, Barbara Skinner of Athens:  and a sister in law, Sue Parsons of Guysville.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Well in 2006; a daughter, Candace Byron; an infant daughter, Patricia Ann Well; and a brother, Sam Parsons.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 14 ^th at 10:30 a.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Rev. James Lambert officiating.  Burial will be in Bean Cemetery, Guysville.  Friends may call Friday, July 13 ^th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
