Ethan Allen Pierce, 33, of Shade, died Sunday Jan. 15, 2023 at his home.  Born Oct. 2, 1989 in Athens, the son of David Pierce of Columbus and the late Kelly Renee Coen.

A 2010 graduate of Alexander High School, he was formerly employed in food service in Athens and was a stay at home dad.

Ethan is survived by his wife, Hannah Howerton Pierce; his daughter, Rosalie Maye Pierce; his son, Trace Weston Pierce; two sisters, Shayna Pierce of Hartford, CT and Emily (Andrew) Hudnall of Albany; a brother, David (Krista) Pierce, Jr. of Colchester, CT; his grandmother, Ethel Pierce of The Plains; two nieces, Summer and Savannah; three nephews, Benjamin, Devin and Alucard; and special cousins, Bruce & Ginger Hudnall of Shade.

Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia & Allen Rankin, and Story Coen; and two uncles, Kevin Coen and Eric Coen.
