Faith Alice Hayden Foster, 88, of Winston-Salem, NC, went to be with her Lord on June 7, 2022 while residing at her son's home in Athens, OH.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at both her most recent home church of Christ Community Wesleyan Church in Albany, OH on Sunday, July 10th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Steve Warner officiating; and also at her longtime church home of Old Town Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC on Monday, July 11th at 10:00 am with Dr. Rick Speas officiating.

Entombment will be at Crestview Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Rural Hall, NC.  Arrangements are by Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens.  Please share a memory, a note of condolence or sign the online register at www.jagersfuneralhome.com.

Faith was born in Alexandria, VA to Forrest and Doris Hayden on September 11, 1933.  She earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from Roberts Wesleyan College in North Chili, NY and a Master's degree in Social Work and Counseling from the State University of New York at Brockport. She worked for many years as a public school teacher at both Benjamin Franklin High School in Rochester, NY and Churchville-Chili Senior High School in Churchville, NY, retiring in 1990.  She married Charles (Chuck) Foster on July 30, 1983 in North Chili, NY and they moved to Winston-Salem, NC for their retirement in 1992.

She was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ and personified her role of servant-follower through her dedicated involvement in many church activities throughout the years. These included serving as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and several other church ministries. Outside the church building, in her daily life in the community and with everyone she met, she impacted many lives with her love and concern for each individual's heart and soul.

Faith is survived by her ever-loving husband of 39 years Charles (Chuck) Foster, only son Brandt Conner, daughter-in-law Kathy Conner, granddaughters Katelyn Conner, all of Athens, OH and Kristina Conner Osborn (Ted Osborn) of Lexington, KY; siblings Joyce Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; Sally Muskovin of Lapeer, MI; and Stanley Hayden of Hamilton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to one of Faith's most-beloved ministries, the Pilot Mountain Baptist Association's Food Pantry*. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Ohio Health Hospice for their kind and compassionate assistance during Faith's final days.
