Hazel Marie Nickoson, age 77 of Belpre, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.  Born May 1, 1946 in Silsbee, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. Cheshire, Sr. and Rosalee Rose Cheshire.

She was employed at Argo Tech as a Payroll Accountant.  She was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church.

Hazel is survived by her husband, Rexford Nickoson; two daughters, Randolyn Sanders and Marilyn (Donald) Moore; a son, William L. "Billy" Johnson, Jr.; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; a sister Teresa Gail Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Johnson; and three siblings, Jimmy Lee Roy, Leavy Ann Mullins and Richard J. Cheshire, Jr.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 8th at 1:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Pastor John Pauley officiating.  Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery, Rome Township.  Friends may call Thursday 11:00 a.m until the time of service at the funeral home.  Please share a memory, a note of condolence or sign the online register at www.jagersfuneralhome.com.
