Jonathan Josten Figueroa, 19, of Athens died Friday, Aug. 2, 2024 at his home.  Born June 24, 2005 in Athens, he is the son of Gilbert M. and Heather Josten Figueroa of Athens.

Jonathan was a 2023 graduate of Athens High School.  He was a member of the award winning Athens High School Marching Green & Gold Band.  He was attending Hocking College and was a member of VFW Post 7174 Auxiliary.  He was an animal lover, beekeeper and enjoyed taking care of his chickens.

Jonathan is survived by his parents, Gilbert & Heather Figueroa of Athens; a brother, Daniel Figueroa of Athens; an aunt, Michelle Wickham of Alliance, NE; a grandfather, Gilberto Figueroa of Cancun, Mexico; and a great aunt, Mary Michael of The Plains.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Suzanne Raum, Barbara Mason Richards and C.J. Josten.  A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Alexander Cemetery.
