Karen Kay Grubb, age 65, of Athens formerly of Van Wert, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 1, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.  Born July 3, 1956 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, she is the daughter of Mary E. Boley Keirns of Van Wert and the late William H. Keirns.

A 1974 graduate of Van Wert High School, she formerly employed as a press operator at National Seal.   She had been a resident of Athens for the past year.  She enjoyed her computer, Iphone and the Internet.

Karen is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jason Grubb and Sarah Grow-Grubb of Langsville; two grandchildren, Garak and Kira Grubb; two brothers, Daniel Keirns of Van Wert and Richard (Julie) Keirns of Van Wert; a special friend, Connie Ford of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and a friend, Danny Chertiza of Staten Island, New York.
