Kelly Renee Coen, age 58 of Shade, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, Athens. Born October 17, 1959 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Daine Story Coen and Patricia Ann Pratt Coen-Rankin.

A 1978 graduate of Alexander High School, she was a retired postal worker.

Kelly is survived by four children, Ethan Pierce, Emily Pierce, David Pierce, Jr., and Shanea Pierce; a sister, Sandee Diamond of Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Zachary Coen, Candace Diamond, Hannah Kelbaugh and Brooklyn Diamond Walls; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her step father, Allan Rankin; and two brothers, Eric Coen and Kevin Coen.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Pastor Malcolm Grueser officiating.  Burial will be in Shade Cemetery, Shade.  Friends may call Friday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
