Linda Carolyn Skidmore, 75, of Albany, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Nov. 25, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Born June 16, 1943 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Pearl W. Douglas and Helen L. Smith Douglas Haas.

A 1961 graduate of Shade High School, she was a native of Athens, Ohio and worked for many years at Linton Industries.  She also lived in Detroit, Michigan for several years where she retired from Bowers Manufacturing in 2009.  Linda moved back to Athens in 2010.

She loved fishing, bluegrass and country music, and above all, working outdoors.  She enjoyed operating farm equipment in her early years and took pride in her lawn throughout her life.

Linda is survived by her son, Stephen (Bev) Skidmore of Albany; four granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; a brother Mark Douglas of Athens; several nieces and nephews; and her special companion, Garry King of Columbus.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Whan.
