Obituary

Hazel Louise (McGrath) Cline passed into the hands of the Lord June 13, 2018 at Bethesda Care Center after a long illness. She was born January 11, 1922 to Aaron & Bertha Alice (Emory) McGrath in Athens. She had been a resident of Fremont, OH for several years.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert R. Cline (WWII veteran) of The Plains; a son, Delbert (Del) R.L. Cline; three brothers, Edwin, Harold & Henry McGrath; and two sisters, Gedna Martin & Gladys Norris.

Surviving is a son, Bill L. (Penny Curry) Cline of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Bonnie C. (James) Bowlus of Fremont; seven grandchildren, Samantha (Cline) (Tim) O'Kelly of Aurora, CO, Anna (Cline)(Frank) Jones of Phoenix, AZ, Amanda Bowlus (Jason) Love of Clyde, Elizabeth Bowlus of Fremont, William (Georgia Sharp) Bowlus of McCook, NE, David Cline of CA and Susan (William) Bollen of Sylvania; four great-grandchildren, Tiyana & Isiah Cline of Phoenix, Aidan & Ethan Love of Clyde; several nieces and nephews; and Daughters of her heart, Debby Leibewitz of Louisville, CO, & Donna House of Fremont.

Louise wore many hats. She was a homemaker, worked at Wright Field, ran a restaurant with her husband, and became head housekeeper at Ohio University. At 50 she graduated Ohio University with a 2-year mental health degree and worked in the Athens Mental Health Hospital. She also taught Sunday School and a missionary group at The Plains Church of the Nazarene. The hat dearest to her was her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, 24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701 with a graveside service to follow at Athens Memory Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870.
