On Tuesday, July 31, 2018 Elsie Madge Wheeler, 101, went to be with the Lord while at her home in The Plains, Ohio with family by her side. She was born on August 23, 1916 in Madison, Ohio.  She was the daughter of the late James Ford and Sarah Ann (Pethel) Whipple.  She was a member of Eastern Star and Senior Beat.  She enjoyed sewing, painting, card playing and especially time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Sherri (Rex) Stroke of Mesa, Arizona and Doreen (Dave) Redecker of The Plains, Ohio; grandsons, Nik (Luanne) Stroke of Gilbert, Arizona, Alex (Sondra) Stroke of Mesa, Arizona, Michael (June) Redecker of Nelsonville, Ohio and Jeffrey (Criona) Redecker of Vicenza, Italy; fifteen great grandchildren; and eight great- great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Milo; four sisters and three brothers.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 9 ^th at 12:00 Noon at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva, Ohio.  Local arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens.  Please share a memory, a note of condolence or sign the online register book at www.jagersfuneralhome.com .
