Athens
Martha L. Antle, a lifelong Athens County resident, passed peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by her loving family, as she went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born August 7, 1936. She was an avid walker who loved the sunshine and spent many years cheering on her husband and children in motorcycle and foot races. She enjoyed playing the trumpet in the band, following her favorite football team, reading, gardening, and planting flowers each spring. She served the Lord at Concord Church and Christ Community Wesleyan Church, where she was a member.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Elizabeth James; her husband Bob Antle; her sons, Tom and Ron Antle; a brother, Byron James, a sister, JoAnn Koska.
