Norma W. Cain, 89, of Athens died Wednesday morning, July 19, 2023 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.  Born July 25, 1933 in Pomeroy, she was the daughter of the late George E. Wright and Esther Faye Winner Wright.

She was a graduate of Chester High School.  She was a homemaker in the family home.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Carol A. Wiley of Athens; her son and daughter in law, George G. & Patricia Cain of Athens; three grandchildren, Leslie (Doug) Enterline, Jesse (Jessica) Cain and Joseph Wiley; four great grandchildren, Kenton Enterline, Jesse Enterline, George Enterline and Parker Cain; and a sister, Virginia Willie,

Beside her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gale E. Cain; and two sisters, Gladys Spencer and Barb Adams.  Per Norma's request, no service will be observed.  Following cremation, her ashes will be buried at Alexander Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens.
