Theodore Patrick Sauber passed away peacefully at home, October 1, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born December 31, 1933 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Ted and Mollie Sauber.

Pat graduated from Barberton High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army for four years. He then went on to graduate from Akron University in 1962 and married Carol Goodridge. Pat worked at Higbee's Department Store in Cleveland for ten years before buying a McDonald's franchise in 1972 in Athens, Ohio where he owned and operated several stores until his retirement in 1998.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Carol; sister, Corrine Rakoci; brother-inlaw, Howard Cooperider; children, Theodore "Kurt" (Laurie) Sauber, Krista (Bud) Amundsen, Kelly (Deanna Schwartz) Sauber, Kent (Rachel Boyd) Sauber, and Sallie Sauber; grandchildren, Christopher Sauber, Clancey Sweeney, Sydney, Leif, and Emma Amundsen, Noah and Elijah Sauber, Brandi (Brad) Hartley, Shen and Max Cook, and Tristian Boyd; and great-grandchildren, Ezra, Logen, Abigail, Isla, Claire, Adeline, and Finley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Delores Glavac, and Jeannette Cooperider; his brother, Fritz Sauber; brother-in-law, Anthony Rakoci; and grandson, Samuel Richmond.

Pat lived a loving and fulfilling life and will be missed by many.
