Robert H. Jones, age 62, of Columbus, formerly of Athens, passed away Jan. 4, 2019 at his home on the east side of Columbus. Born June 5, 1956 in Lexington, KY, he was the third son of the late John & Bettina Jones.

Robert grew up in Athens, where he studied art at Ohio University under Professor David Hostettler.  His sculptures and designs are testament to his talent.  A U.S. Navy veteran, Robert was a loyal Kroger employee for many years.  He loved classic movies and fishing for small mouth bass on Big Walnut Creek.

Robert is survived by a brother, Jeff Jones of Whitehall and a sister, Jennifer Jones of Athens.  Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, John Jones.
