Ronald
Muhn
Jul 19, 1937 — Jul 10, 2025
Amesville
Ronald James "Ron" Muhn, 87, of Amesville, Ohio, fell asleep in death on Thursday, July 10, 2025. He was born on July 19, 1937, in Alma, Michigan, to the late Elmer and Vera Muhn.
From an early age, Ron was known for his strong work ethic. As a teenager, he delivered milk for the Larchdale Farm Dairy, the Muhn family business. After graduating from Alma High School in 1955, he began studying engineering at Alma College. During this time, he met Bonnie Johnson from nearby St. Louis, Michigan. The two were married on August 9, 1958, and began building a life together. Within seven years, they were blessed with four children.
In 1974, he and Bonnie moved with their children to Amesville, Ohio. There, he worked for Strawn Plumbing, David White Services, and later enjoyed self-employment.
His deep faith in the promises found in the Bible guided every aspect of his life. In 1961, Ron and Bonnie dedicated their lives to Jehovah God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and remained faithful to that dedication throughout their lives. Ron found joy in sharing his Bible-based hope with others and volunteered his time on many Kingdom Hall construction projects.
He will be remembered for his friendly smile and for always having a story to share.
Ron is survived by his four children: Melodie (Mark) Kantner of Albany, Nolan (Cheryl) Muhn of Athens, Brian (Rebeka) Muhn of Millfield, and Melissa (Edward) Boice of Lancaster; as well as his grandchildren: Brandon (Hollie) Kantner, Jessica (Andrew) Arlotta, Michael Muhn, and Matthew (Dexi) Muhn. He is also survived by his niece Sue Wiggins and nephews Craig, Randy, Louis, and Dennis Muhn.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Bonnie; his parents; his brothers, Bill, Russell, and Warren Muhn; and his nephew, Van Muhn.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9110 Johnson Rd., The Plains, Ohio 45780. Please share a memory, a note of condolence or sign the online register at www.jagersfuneralhome.com.
