Sandra Lee Chambers, age 65, of Guysville, died Wednesday afternoon, June 6, 2018 at Laurels of Athens. Born Jan. 18, 1953 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ray Chambers, Jr. & Opal Marie Stone Chambers.


She had been a Guysville resident since 2002, where she lived with her sister, Deborah. She was a member of South Canaan Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church, singing in the choir, crafts and playing bingo, especially bingo. She was an animal lover, with a special connection to the family horses and dogs.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Deborah (Tom) Ruedebusch of Guysville; three brothers, Ronnie (Robin) Chambers of Critten, KY, Donnie Chambers of Knoxville, TN and Michael (Janet) Chambers of Erlanger, KY; a niece, April Nicole Bailes of Athens; and a great nephew, Aeden Thomas Bailes.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Turner and Linda Thrasher. A family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens.
