Sandra "Sandy" J. Scott, 79, of Athens, Ohio, died from pancreatic cancer on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born on September 11, 1946 in South Bend, Indiana.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Barry Scott; and her daughter, Jodie Scott.

Per her request, no funeral service will be observed and cremation has take place.  In honor of Sandy's memory, contributions may be made to any of the following: Athens County Dog Shelter, Athens County Food Bank, or WOUB Public Media.

The family wishes to thank Athens County EMS (ACEMS), OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, Riverside Hospital, Hospice services at the Kobacker House and Jagers & Sons Funeral Home.
