George Thomas "Tom" Holdcroft, age 89, of Athens died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, Athens. Born March 20, 1929 in Athens, he was the son of the late George & Eliza Hanson Holdcroft.

Tom attended Ames-Bern High School and worked for Beasley Wholesale Co.  He retired in 1984 after 32 years of service as a well tender with Columbia Gas of Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Elizabeth Featherstone Holdcroft; a daughter, Judy (Ed) McConaha of Fostoria; a step son, Mike (Penny) Dailey of Ohatchee, Alabama; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Foreman; two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Dorothy Conner; two brothers, Richard Holdcroft and Harry Holdcroft.
