Clarence Leedy, age 93 of Millfield, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.  Born May 7, 1929 in Knott County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Kelly Leedy and Sue Johnson Leedy.

He was an equipment operator for the City of Athens for over 30 years.  He was a former member of the Oakgrove Wesleyan Church, Nelsonville.  He enjoyed making items out of wood and tinkering with other projects.

Clarence is survived by four daughters, Donna (Roger Edwards) Camire of Millfield, Judy (David) Clark of Athens, Betty Barnes of Guysville, and Barbara Drake of Nelsonville; a son, Bill Leedy of Barlow; a daughter in law, Carol Leedy of Millfield; thirteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; fifteen great, great grandchildren.  Also surviving are his beloved dog Baby, cat Elsa; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beside his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Della Frances Durfee Leedy; a son, Jerry Leedy; a granddaughter, Tracy Hernandez Baeza; a grandson, Glene Edward Hickman; three sisters, Essie Hall, Alice Chetamon and Virgie Johnson; three brothers, Roy Leedy, Bufford Leedy and Kelly Leedy, Jr.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, Feb. 24 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Pastor Stan West officiating.  Burial will be in Augustine Cemetery, Dover Township.  Friends may call Friday 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Following the service there will be a gathering at The Plains Community Center, 65 Connett Rd.
